bathroom stalls / tall tales 2003-08-20
33pmthe bathroom light makes everything so personal. it's like the concrete walls know you by name and the tiles remember yr first kiss, too. and you can never escape those ceramic memories. the stainless steel spills a congruent confession that is so tough to shy away from. everday of yr menial life has strayed from a roll of paper towels. crumpled and forgotten.. every word you never said gets thrown away without a second thought. it's the heat of the dryer it's the cold of the floor the bottomless hole that is yr heart.. yr words drop like water from faucets - the anger - coating everything praying to wash it clean again.. BUT BABY YOU ARE NO DISINFECTANT.
